  4. * Click on a card to select it.
  5. * Click on a card already chosen for a pass to unselect it.
  6. * The "PASS" button will appear closest to the player who will receive your pass.
  7. * Clicking on the SCORE PAD on the lower left of the table shows you the score.
  8. * Clicking on the CUP OF JOE on the lower right of the table will tell the computer to "play out" (finish) the hand for you.

  13. *ABOUT HEARTS: Contains information on SHAREWARE registration. Do the right thing.
  14. * QUIT: Quits Hearts.

  16. FILE MENU

  18. * NEW GAME: Begins a new game with the current settings.
  19. * BOSS COMING: A panic button (apple-B) in case you really should be working.
  20. * PRINT: Prints out a sheet for registering with us and purchasing GREAT GAMES.

  22. RULES MENU

  24. * JACK OF DIAMONDS:  When checked, the Jack of Diamonds is worth -10. 
  25. * QUEEN OF SPADES:  When checked, the Queen of Spades is worth +13.
  26. * NO TRICK RULE:  When checked, you receive a -5 bonus for taking no points in a hand.
  27. * ROTATE LEAD: When checked, the lead rotates instead of the 2 of Clubs deciding the lead.
  28. * TURN OFF PASSING: When checked, passing will not be a part of the game.

  30. OPTIONS MENU

  32. * HANDICAP: This Pop-Up menu lets you set your initial score.
  33. * SCORE: This Pop-Up menu allows you to set the ending score of the game.
  34. * SMALL SETTINGS: These two options let you do small things....
  35. * TUTOR MODE:  Has the computer coach you in various aspects of the game.
  36. * DEMONSTRATION:  When checked the computer will play itself.

  38. SKILL LEVEL MENU

  40. * SMART-DUMB: These menus lets you chose the I.Q. of your opponents. 
  41. * DIABOLO: This setting will cause all of your opponents to gang up on you.

  43. STATS MENU

  45. * Stats: This will show you some statistics about the game. It does not reset between games.
  46. * Last Trick: This will show you the last trick played.
  47.  
  48. WINDOWS MENU
  49. --------------
  50. * This menu lets you change the pictures in the window behind Rob.
  51. NOTE: This feature does not work in Black and White.
